Stamping Spot Studio

So Kelli’s birthday was a looooong time ago, and I still haven’t given this to her! Every time I see her, I forget to bring it. Ack! Here’s the quilt being held up by my daughter and her friend who shall remain nameless:

I used one jelly roll of Basic Grey’s Urban Couture fabric line by Moda. Here’s the back:

For the quilting, I used my favorite color-changing thread by YLI. It goes from cream to brown and back:

I haven’t been quilting for a while…still trying to get used to my new job. But I’m sure I’ll get back to it soon!

I wanted to make a small mug rug (or coaster) to take with me to my new job (yay!). This was made entirely from scraps (even the batting and binding) and turned out to be only 7″ x 7″.

But it is missing something… It needs a weird cat button in the corner!

I got a request from my mom-in-law for three little quilts to help cover her chair. She gave me a Moda Layer Cake called Collection for a Cause – Tradition by Howard Marcus. I used it to make these:

I got the backing on sale at my favorite online store – The Fabric Shack.

I used plain Beige thread for the quilting:

The last kid’s birthday card! At least for now. Happy Birthday Matthew! This is one of those stamp sets that I’ve used a lot but never did any card club cards with. I’m not sure if my club ladies are really into this sort of thing… Ladies, please correct me if I’m wrong.

Here’s my next project. It was too small to put on the quilting frame, so I took the machine off the frame and quilted it separately. When was the last time I machine quilted this way? I can’t remember.
