Start Using RSS

Tuesday, June 19th, 2007

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication, and is great for letting you know when your favorite blogs have been updated! If you haven’t tried RSS yet, you don’t know what you’re missing!! Here are some really simple steps to get you started:

  1. Click on the Add to Google icon on the right.
  2. Select Add to Google Reader.
  3. Log in to your Google account. If you don’t have a Google account, create one now.
  4. Your RSS feed is ready! Scroll down or click on Mark All As Read. The next time this site gets updated, the feed title will appear in bold in Google Reader.
  5. Add more RSS feeds by clicking on the orange RSS symbol (looks like this: RSS Icon) on other blogs or websites. Then copy the web address, or URL, and paste it into the Add Subscription box. And you’re good to go!

Here are some of my favorite non-crafting feeds. My crafting RSS feed list is too long to show!
