More Copic Markers – I Must Have More!

Monday, September 1st, 2008

So I ran off and bought EVEN MORE Copic markers! I need more blending practice. Here’s another comparison, with Copic markers on the left, and regular markers on the right:

I used the stamp and Cuttlebug embossing folder I got from Little C’s and re-colored the image I used for Little C’s Weekly Challenge #4. This one is still mostly flat colors, and just a tiny bit of blending:

Lily And Milo
Stamp: Lily and Milo series by Rachelle Anne Miller
Markers: Copics!!
Papers: Close to My Heart Spring B&T (retired), Pink Carnation and Bamboo cardstock
Other: Cuttlebug embossing folder, Big Pinks paper flower and button from Close To My Heart

In case you missed the Cuttlebug embossing, here’s a close-up:

I love those embossing folders!

And Jax says,

“My tummy! Rub it rub it rub it, puh-leeeeeeze!”

Little C’s Weekly Challenge #6

Tuesday, August 26th, 2008

Jen at Little C’s asked us to use this sketch for our weekly challenge:

I used a Lily and Milo stamp from Little C’s to make this:

Papers: from Close To My Heart
Other: Sparkles and Sassy Strands from Close To My Heart

And Kit says,

“That was…so…exciting that…I could just….ZZzzzz…ZZZzzzzz”

Little C’s Design Challenge #4

Tuesday, August 12th, 2008

I got my goodies from Jen at Little C’s!

This week, we’re using Maria’s sketch:

The girl and cat are so cute! I want to use that stamp with some patterned paper on Colonial White cardstock:

And now to add the girl:

Uh oh. That White Daisy doesn’t look so good next to the Colonial White. Time to change the background color:

Ah, better! But that wide gap in the middle looks weird. And I want to add a file folder tab to the side:

Ummm…that tab looks too small. Maybe a larger piece of paper would look better (and match the sketch better):

And the final product:
Lily and Milo
Stamp sets: Lily and Milo by Rachelle Anne Miller, Country Floral and Solo F by Close To My Heart
Papers: Contemporary Country scrapbooking kit, Desert Sand, Bamboo cardstock by Close To My Heart
Inks: Desert Sand, Dutch Blue, assorted markers from Close To My Heart
Other: buttons and hemp
